While at the supermarket where he and Amy used to go hunting, Kieren recalls the moment Jem chose to spare his life. This shared memory prompts the siblings to face their past traumas by visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster. Kieren experiences a brief sense of relief, but the moment is overshadowed by Amy's departure from Roarton in her quest for The Prophet. As they navigate this tumultuous world, Kieren and Rick must grapple with their identities as PDS sufferers, seeking solace and understanding in their new reality.
