Episode Overview

When Jimmy is wrongfully implicated in a murder, Lois and Clark spring into action to exonerate him and restore his reputation. Amidst the investigation, they enjoy what they consider their "real" first date. Although the evening starts off perfectly, things take a turn when Lois shuts the door in Clark's face, overwhelmed by the night’s success and her anxieties about their future together. After they clear Jimmy's name, Lois opens up to Clark about her fears and acknowledges her misstep. Just as they share a long-awaited kiss, an unexpected and tragic event unfolds.
