Episode Overview
Grissom and his team are summoned to look into the murder of a young woman discovered in the hotel room of renowned actor Tom Haviland. While Haviland confesses to having spent the night with her, he insists he had no role in her death. Grissom, however, grows suspicious after uncovering blood evidence linked to the actor. The situation becomes more complicated when Haviland’s attorney recruits Grissom's old mentor, Philip Gerard, to scrutinize the forensic details of the case. Unfortunately for Grissom, Gerard uncovers numerous flaws that he can use against the investigation.
