Episode Overview

Kermit decides to call off the show to hold auditions for new talent. Initially upset, guest star Steve channels his frustration into a performance for the Muppet crew. Fozzie becomes anxious that Kermit intends to find replacements for the existing cast, particularly after the amusing tryout of a dog comedian named Baskerville. Kermit encourages Fozzie to appreciate the artistry of others, but tension rises when Lenny the Lizard auditions for the role of emcee. Meanwhile, a young girl named Mary/Terry/Carrie Louise gets dismissed during her audition attempt with her croaking sidekick.
