Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell share the journeys of two individuals on a quest to uncover their family histories, both seeking to find a birth parent they have never known. Fifty-seven-year-old quarry worker John Hacking learned that his birth mother abandoned him as a baby in a pram outside a flat in Buxton. Since the age of 17, he has been on a relentless search for her with no success. Meanwhile, Debra Spark is eager to learn about her Italian father, Ernesto, who had a brief relationship with her mother, Olive, in Milan during the 1960s.
