Episode Overview
Gareth North, the son of used car dealer Harry North, often leans on his father's wealth to bail him out of trouble, which he frequently finds himself in alongside his girlfriend Gail and friend Vince. After they botch an armed robbery and narrowly escape PC Bellamy, Gareth falsely claims that their getaway car was stolen and even goes as far as to accuse Bellamy of assaulting him. Meanwhile, Vernon Scripps wins a car in a poker game and sets out to start a taxi service, but struggles to find customers due to sharing a party line with Edith Fairley, who is constantly on the phone while evading her recently released ex-husband, Jack. Additionally, Bernie Scripps receives a peculiar request from Minnie Bateson, who wishes to arrange a funeral for her husband Sydney, despite him being very much alive.
