Episode Overview
Harvey Cottrell scoops up furniture at remarkably low prices, but he becomes particularly fixated on Alice Stanton's Greek figurine, which mysteriously disappears the next day. The same fate befalls an antique mirror belonging to John Salter, leading to Cottrell's aggressive behavior when she refuses to sell it to him. Meanwhile, the residents of Aidensfield are caught up in a heated election between Oscar Blaketon and Joyce Jowett for the parish council representative, as both candidates try to sabotage each other’s reputations. With many villagers struggling to reach the polling station, Blaketon volunteers to drive them in David's taxi. Additionally, Dr. Summerbee believes that promoting exercise will enhance the community's health and organizes a fitness class, but ironically, she ends up collapsing after the session.
