Sgt. Merton faces mounting pressure as a gang of young troublemakers engages in serious crimes in the neighborhood. The situation escalates when Liz Merrick brings in amphetamines she found hidden in a local boy's room. Although she is tight-lipped about the source due to confidentiality, Merton decides to visit the surgery under the guise of an appointment with Jenny. However, the plan backfires when Jenny uncovers that Merton was actually there to snoop on the patient list, leading her to call off their wedding in frustration.
