Heartbeat (1992)
S02E10 Missing
Episode Overview
The fair rolls into Aidensfield, much to the chagrin of Edna Plummer, the owner of a nearby caravan site. Unbeknownst to her, her brother—a criminal—uses the site as a drop-off point for stolen art. He’s expecting a shipment from Norman Currie, an amateur smuggler returning from a family trip to Holland. Currie's son trades a painting for free fair rides, leading to a chain of events where the artwork ends up in Greengrass's hands. He attempts to sell it to Ferrenby, who quickly realizes its worth and informs Nick. Meanwhile, two five-year-olds go missing but are later found safe, with Kate uncovering their secret friend—a local man mourning the loss of his wife and child in an accident.
