Episode Overview

During a heated argument at home, Derek Ramsey loses his cool and heads to the pub, where he drinks excessively. Phil eventually tells him to leave, but in a fit of rage, Derek assaults Phil, Nick, and Alf. He receives a 28-day sentence, but while being transported to jail by Phil and Alf, he manages to escape, much to Blaketon's outrage. Derek's escape is motivated by a need to protect his girlfriend, who is in danger. Meanwhile, Greengrass takes a temporary job as a lollipop man, but after a wave of thefts at the school, he’s asked to resign. Claude is furious with Nick, believing he was the reason for his dismissal, when in fact it was the Headmistress who thought Claude was the culprit—though he wasn’t.
