Episode Overview

Emma has been an outspoken opponent of GM foods for quite some time and decides to present her concerns to Mr. Raditch. He dismisses her worries, explaining that the school can't afford alternatives and insists there's no proof that GM foods are harmful. Undeterred, Emma takes it upon herself to inform her classmates. When Mr. Raditch catches wind of her efforts, he shuts them down. After watching a documentary about the cafeteria's food, Emma rallies the students to boycott, which spirals into a food fight, resulting in her suspension for the day. During an interview with the Grapevine, she vows to continue her protests. Mr. Raditch then gives her a choice: apologize or face a week-long suspension. Emma stands firm in her beliefs. Meanwhile, Spinner covets a trendy designer shirt but finds it too expensive. Frustrated by Jimmy receiving a lavish $1000 birthday gift, Spinner decides to pawn Jimmy's MP3 player, ultimately ending their friendship.
