Tia encounters a family of eight who are eager to find a new dog after the heartbreaking loss of theirs to cancer. Shortly after, Tia and her daughter Tania respond to a rescue call that leads them to New Orleans' notorious ninth ward, where they must confront a growling, ailing dog.
