Overview

Bezhig Little Bird, once a spirited child from Long Pine Reserve in Saskatchewan, is uprooted at age five due to the Sixties Scoop, a devastating government policy. Adopted by a Jewish family in Montréal, she takes on the name Esther Rosenblum. Now in her twenties, Bezhig is haunted by a longing for her biological family and is determined to uncover her roots. Her journey is marked by profound sacrifices as she navigates the complexities of identity, belonging, and the search for familial connection amid a backdrop of cultural dislocation.
