Episode Overview
As the wagon train journeys through Sioux territory, a man named Marshall seeks assistance in locating his daughter, Ruth, who was abducted by Indians during a raid eleven years prior. Now 19, Ruth’s whereabouts are unknown. Flint McCullough sets out to find her but gets injured in an ambush by a solitary Indian. He is rescued and treated by a mysterious blue-eyed white woman who lives among four wolves and communicates solely through sign language, earning the respect of the local Sioux. Meanwhile, the injured Indian reports back to his father, Red Cloud, who orders Flint to be taken to their camp for judgment. The Wolf Woman intervenes, ensuring Flint's safe return to the wagon train, along with a book that reveals the name "Ruth Marshall" written inside.
