Episode Overview

Roz Patterson finds herself at a local flea market when she's unexpectedly invited to speak at the Country Women’s Association. The Boss inquires about her topic, and Wayne informs Tom that Roz will discuss life as a country policeman's wife, leaving Tom feeling slighted, especially since they never asked Nell. Meanwhile, Nick stumbles upon Barry Taylor naked by the river. Barry claims to be homeless and insists he was just washing up. Nick has his doubts about Barry's intentions, especially when he learns that Barry has locked himself in a room at the Imperial. At the station, Barry reveals he’s lost everything: his home, his wife, and his kids. Later, Mr. Wilkinson calls in about a local shoplifter, who turns out to be Helen Burns, the wife of a solicitor.
