Episode Overview

Tom's family dog, Sabu, finds himself in trouble when he's blamed for killing livestock. Tess takes a firm approach by impounding the dog. As always, Jonesy challenges Tess's decision, leading to another deep and meaningful conversation between the two, who harbor feelings for each other yet remain apart. During their discussion, Tess shares a childhood memory of having a dog for just a few weeks. Later that night, inspired by magazine articles, Jonesy surprises Tess at the station with an adorable border collie puppy in his arms.
