Episode Overview
With Tess’s husband now stationed at a hospital in Melbourne, Jonesy feels it’s his responsibility to keep her and her puppy, Puddles, company at night. He surprises her with a freshly caught fish dinner, but the mood shifts when he begins to probe her about her ten-week marriage to Dr. Josh Carmichael. As Tess struggles to breathe, she collapses into his arms. At the hospital, Jonesy is puzzled to find Josh on duty in Mount Thomas when he should be in Melbourne. His investigation into what seems like a simple bag snatch quickly reveals a more complex crime involving stolen drugs, placing Dr. Carmichael under suspicion. Disturbingly, patients report being conscious during surgeries. While Jonesy cracks the case, he remains determined to uncover the truth about Dr. Carmichael’s personal life, even if it risks hurting someone he genuinely cares for.
