Episode Overview

Tom grows increasingly anxious when his daughter, Susan, a schoolteacher, doesn't make it to Mt. Thomas as planned. She was driving from Melbourne for a temporary role at the local primary school. Meanwhile, Dash and Adam stumble upon her car, which has been left on the roadside after colliding with another vehicle, also abandoned, with no sign of the drivers. Tom's fears escalate as they learn that the other car belongs to Andy Maxwell, a man previously implicated in a murder case. Bryan, Andy's older brother, arrives at the station, worried since Andy hasn’t reached the family farm. Just as Tom starts to suspect Andy may have harmed Susan, they find the two—who were simply hiking for help after the accident, which Susan claims was her fault. To Tom’s dismay, Susan has developed a bond with Andy and invites him, along with Bryan, for dinner. After the meal, the conversation takes a dark turn.
