Episode Overview

While working one day, Nick decides to treat Ben to a meal at one of Mt. Thomas's renowned eateries, the Demirs' kebab shop. Upon entering, they stumble into a heated argument between the owners, which centers on the arranged marriage of their seventeen-year-old daughter, Deniz. Nick worries that Deniz might be pressured into this union, but she reassures him that she is excited to marry an older man she has never met. Meanwhile, the Heelers are looking into reports of a prowler lurking around women’s homes and stealing items from their yards. When Maggie and PJ apprehend him, they find out he is a Turkish national and an illegal immigrant who doesn’t speak English. Deniz is called in to translate, revealing that he is also involved in an arranged marriage, but this situation appears to be a scam.
