Episode Overview

Ben finds himself stepping in as a protector for a woman facing domestic abuse, misinterpreting her need for help as a sign of affection. Unaware of Vanessa's growing feelings for him, Dash and Tom caution him about the risks of getting too involved. As Vanessa takes advantage of Ben's willingness to assist, the lines between his work and personal life blur. Meanwhile, his estranged wife Rachel unexpectedly arrives, hoping to mend their relationship. She soon realizes that Ben is still devoted to his job, but now he has another contender for his attention—Vanessa. Both women sense a connection between Ben and the “blonde policewoman,” creating a complicated emotional triangle. Additionally, Maggie confronts Ben about his inaction regarding her father's murder case, pushing him for leads while PJ, her partner, warns him to keep her out of trouble.
