Episode Overview

Ben finds himself torn between his protective instincts and his duties as a police officer when he meets a sick girl and her struggling father. Rosie urgently needs a kidney transplant, and time is of the essence. After George's car gets stolen, Ben kindly offers to drive them to the hospital for Rosie's treatment. Unbeknownst to him, George's car was involved in an armed robbery, and he desperately hopes that George isn't implicated. Meanwhile, PJ struggles to focus on the case after Maggie returns from her six-week stay in a safety house. Eager to reconnect after their hasty farewell, PJ is frustrated as Dash plans welcome home celebrations, leaving him little opportunity to talk to Maggie, who seems uncertain about their future. As the investigation unfolds, the Heelers grow suspicious of George when his ex-wife, Carol, arrives and exerts a strange influence over him, even skipping out on her pub tab and insisting George pay it off.
