Episode Overview

Tess learns about the Running of the Rams, an unusual event featuring naked men racing alongside four rams down Mount Thomas's main street. It's organized by the notorious con artists Compo and Richo, who claim it's a fundraiser for the CFA. Tess decides to enforce the law strictly, warning that anyone who runs naked will face arrest for indecent exposure. As tensions rise with Tom away, Tess's strictness frustrates Jo. Upon Tom's return, he finds the town buzzing with complaints about his new Sergeant. He advises Tess that sometimes a lighter touch is needed in small-town policing. However, his attempt to creatively resolve the situation backfires when the rams meant for the event go missing. The Heelers suspect the farmer of "stealing" his own animals and devise a plan to catch him. But when they follow him to a shed, they discover that the rams have genuinely been stolen.
