A well-known crime novelist becomes increasingly curious about a baby’s death that occurred 25 years prior. When he uncovers the remains of a long-missing child, Tess starts to question whether he could actually be responsible for the violent acts he often depicts in his stories. Tom decides to confront the writer, who then discloses his deep personal ties to the old case of the infant's demise. Now, Tess and Tom must navigate the blurred lines between reality and imagination to uncover the truth.
