The Heelers begin to suspect a local horse trainer of attacking and robbing a bookie. Jo's curiosity piques when she uncovers a torn diary page while interviewing the trainer's strapper, stable hand, and assistant jockey. The unsettling writing raises Jo's alarm, suggesting a plea for help. She learns the diary belongs to the young stable hand, raising concerns about his safety and why he remains silent. When the trainer is found injured and the stable hand goes missing, Jo fears he may have finally stood up for himself. After the trainer dies, the stable hand believes he is to blame, but Jo is resolved to clear his name. Could the same person be behind both assaults?
