Episode Overview

In Mt. Thomas, the community gathers to honor Tom with a service medal for his three decades on the force. However, the festivities take a dark turn when a young Aboriginal woman, Kim, injures Grace and accuses Tom of having taken her from her family as a child. The Heelers investigate and uncover Tom's past involvement in the controversial removal of Aboriginal children in 1973, including Kim and her brothers, from their abusive father. Kim's life spiraled in foster care, leading to tragic outcomes for her siblings. While Tess, Evan, and PJ support Tom, Jo feels he bears significant responsibility for the children's removal. In another development, Chris suspects Kim of stealing money meant for a gift to Tom, but her alibi appears solid. The situation escalates when they find a boy in Kim's room, raising further questions.
