As Tina and Helena enjoy a documentary screening, Bette travels to Washington D.C. to address a Senate hearing, where she meets Senator Barbara Grisham. In the meantime, Jenny puts her aspirations of becoming a writer on hold to take a waitressing job at The Planet, trying to support herself and Moira. The couple receives an invitation to a party thrown by Billie Blaikie, where Moira connects with others who share her interests. Meanwhile, Carmen faces a tough choice between attending Shane's opening party or seizing a rare chance to DJ at an exclusive VIP event, while Dana publicly confesses her love for Lara during a tennis tournament.
