Episode Overview
Title: Shadows Over the Valley Plot: After two days of searching for Pete, Rowdy finally finds him. Pete reveals there are 80 to 100 Cheyenne warriors nearby and confronts Dagget, a bounty hunter hired by Favor. Dagget, joined by another bounty hunter, reveals a reward of $8,000 for Nancy Curtis, a girl taken by the Cheyenne. The bounty poster appears on the chuck wagon. Meanwhile, Favor investigates twelve missing steers and encounters Manso, the Cheyenne chief, who intends to pay for them. Manso is later captured by Dagget, but Favor intervenes to free him, sustaining an arrow wound in the process. Taken to Manso’s camp, he meets Winoka, a fair-skinned girl who shows him a locket with "NC" inscribed. Favor is determined to reunite her with her biological family, but Manso insists she belongs to the Cheyenne now.
