Title: The Little Fishes Plot: Gilmore informs Favor that a crisis is unfolding back east and urges him to shorten their cattle drive by ten days. He insists that the drovers remain unaware of the situation. Meanwhile, Tom Gwynn, a fish farmer, is gravely ill with a fever. Despite his condition, he is determined to transport shad to California in hopes of winning a $10,000 prize.
