Clete Bonner and his grandson Will, under the aliases Jonas and Duke Williams, participate in the cattle drive to evaluate whether Will’s father, Adam—now going by the name Cable—is fit to take Will in. Meanwhile, Adam is conspiring with two accomplices to steal 1,500 cattle and sell them to the military.
