Episode Overview

Title: Six Weeks to Bent Fork Plot: Mr. Fletcher proposes a challenge to Rowdy: transport 1,500 cattle to Bent Fork within six weeks for a reward of $6,000, but incur a $30 penalty for each head that fails to arrive. Lash Whitcomb, one of Fletcher's associates, accompanies Rowdy as his second-in-command. Tensions arise when they clash over the best route. Rowdy inspects his chosen path, which leads to a box canyon. Unfortunately, his horse stumbles in a chuckhole, throwing him off and causing broken ribs. Rowdy instructs Lash to lead in his stead. Just ten miles and three days from Bent Fork, Sheriff John Keeley informs them of a sixty-day quarantine on Texas cattle.
