Vula faces losing her beloved cats and her home to city and animal control authorities. Al, who resorts to dumpster diving, is struggling after child protective services removed his three-year-old son from their cluttered living situation. Jim's home has been condemned due to severe hoarding, preventing his family from returning until it’s cleaned up. Arline's overwhelming clutter has forced her ill husband to sleep in their car. Lastly, Glen contends with a staggering 2,500 rats infesting his house.
