Her twelve children, one of whom has developed dissociative identity disorder as a way to handle the chaos, will band together to confront their mother about her issues. Meanwhile, in Chesapeake, Virginia, Elmira's hoarding has escalated to the point where code enforcement threatens to condemn her home. Her family must navigate the complexities of their "step versus blood" relationships to support her in this challenging time.
