Rose is stranded on a remote planet, situated perilously close to a Black Hole. Alongside an Earth expedition team and the enigmatic Ood, she and the Doctor confront a looming threat. An ancient force, long dormant beneath the planet's crust, begins to stir, putting everyone at risk.
