Episode Overview
A year has gone by since "The Sound of Drums." The Earth is under the control of the Master, with its inhabitants subjugated, and the Doctor is trapped as a captive. Meanwhile, a new Time Lord Empire is emerging from the remnants of the old. The survival of humanity now rests on the shoulders of Martha Jones, who must navigate this dark and oppressive reality to reclaim freedom for her planet.
