In a desperate move, Jane instructs her accountant to manipulate the design firm's financial statements to prevent Michael and Syd from claiming a share of her earnings. Meanwhile, after Lauren's arrest, Sydney steps in to run her operation. Amanda brings on a young man named Ted Ryan as the building manager but soon lets him go due to his odd behavior.
