Brooke manages to survive her suicide attempt, prompting a remorseful Billy to rush back to her side and insist that Amanda rehire her. Meanwhile, Peter gives Bobby a stark ultimatum. When Bobby visits Amanda to inform her of his decision to step back, they end up sleeping together. Kimberly proposes that Sydney frame someone else for Jane's accident, leading Sydney to secretly place pills in Richard's desk, which Jo later discovers. Seeking guidance, Jo turns to Jake, but he has no advice to offer. After Sydney confronts Michael about his behavior towards Jane, he decides to move out. Monty asks Jake to collect a debt from another of his clients, but Jake hesitates. Alan distances himself from Matt after Kimberly reveals uncomfortable truths about Matt's past relationships.
