Meanwhile, a woman files a lawsuit against Sydney after sustaining an injury from a display at the boutique. Kyle's attempts to push Taylor out of their business partnership backfire when Sydney inadvertently reveals to Peter that she and Kyle had an affair. Alison is stuck in bed due to pregnancy complications, but she catches up on the latest gossip through the arguments happening outside. She overhears Taylor mentioning that Peter is her brother-in-law. Though Jake thinks Alison should stay out of it, he shares this information with Amanda, who feels guilty about the couple's breakup.
