Ray Drecker, a beleaguered high school coach in Detroit, finds himself at a significant low point both in his career and personal life. In a bid to regain control, he joins a self-help group, hoping to discover a path to financial stability. To his surprise, he encounters Tanya, an ex-girlfriend from his past, within the group. Her presence sparks an unexpected source of motivation for Ray, leading him to reconsider his situation and possibilities for the future.
