Amidst a stone circle, two bodies are discovered: one belonging to the daughter of a retired police officer from a nearby village, and the other to a local artist. Initially, there seems to be no link between the victims. However, Havers uncovers a crucial piece of evidence that guides Lynley towards identifying the murderer.
