Episode Overview

At first, the Ingalls family is thriving, but their fortunes take a turn when a devastating hailstorm destroys their crops. Faced with tough times, Charles and several neighboring farmers set out to seek employment. They find jobs at a quarry. Meanwhile, while Charles is gone, Caroline rallies the women of Walnut Grove to come together and help harvest what little remains of their crops.
