Title: Confronting the Ice Plot: With a lucrative contract on the line, VP executives Hugh Rowland and Vlad "The Mad Russian" Pleskot decide to keep struggling newcomer Art Burke on the team. To maintain their freight schedule, they introduce ambitious ice road rookie Todd Dewey, putting additional pressure on Art. During their convoy, Todd faces his first ice crossing, which tests his limits. Meanwhile, rival Polar Industries seizes a chance to transport loads on a newly opened route, prompting Darrell Ward to evaluate it, only to encounter a potentially fatal truck issue. Lisa hurries to return from the winter roads, eager to compete with VP Express for loads. Alex Debogorski ventures back over the perilous Shamattawa trail with a massive forklift, knowing success is vital to fend off Hugh’s competition.
