Gates embarks on a quest for Yamashita's Gold, a hidden stash of valuables worth millions, consisting of gold and jewels plundered by Japan during World War II. Under the orders of General Tomoyuki Yamashita, this treasure was secretly moved to the Philippines and concealed by gangsters, military leaders, and a clandestine group in a network of tunnels and caves. With the end of the war, the fortune was thought to be lost, until a treasure hunter uncovered a portion in 1970, igniting a relentless search for the rest ever since.
