Expedition Unknown (2015)
S02E19 Hitler's Atomic Secrets
Episode Overview
The quest for hidden Nazi treasures and their looted gold leads deep into the shadows of history, both beneath the earth and the waves. This time, Josh plunges into the depths of Lake Fuschlsee in the Austrian Alps, searching for artifacts linked to Nazi foreign minister Joachim Von Ribbontrop, who submerged his family's wealth in these dark waters. To uncover whether the Nazis were developing an atomic bomb, he begins in Hitler's birthplace, Linz. He also stops at the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp memorial in Sankt Georgen an der Gusen to honor the countless victims. Additionally, he investigates 25 miles of tunnels within the Bergkristall complex, the largest secret underground site ever constructed, intended by SS General Hans Kammler for the Nazi nuclear program.
