Episode Overview

Tom makes a crucial decision in Last Chance Kitchen, selecting one chef to rejoin the competition. The remaining chefs then participate in a Quickfire challenge, where they create a two-course Business-Class meal for an airline, judged by Padma and Jonathan Waxman. For their final challenge in Los Angeles before heading to Italy for the finale, they visit Michael’s Santa Monica and meet renowned Chef Michael McCarty, a trailblazer of California Cuisine. With only five chefs advancing to the finals, they must reinterpret one of McCarty’s classic dishes and present it to a distinguished table of alumni, including Roy Yamaguchi, Jonathan Waxman, Sang Yoon, Mark Peel, and Brooke Williamson.
