Episode Overview

As the second night of heats begins, ten contestants face off, each armed with one of ten unique ingredients, but only five coveted chef coats are available. Competitors who shine in this challenge will earn their coats on the spot, while those who falter will be sent home. The remaining contestants on the "bubble" engage in a cook-off, vying for the last coats against four previous competitors seeking redemption. Additionally, tonight marks the first chance for eliminated chefs to re-enter the competition through the sister series, Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen.
