Episode Overview

In January 2018, 37-year-old Paul Mathieson was discovered fighting for his life on a street in Renfrew after suffering a brutal attack. Unfortunately, Paul later succumbed to his severe injuries, prompting the Major Investigations Team of Police Scotland to launch an inquiry. Although the assault was captured on CCTV, the attacker remains unrecognizable and vanishes from the scene. Paul’s sister Amanda, who works as a nurse at the hospital where he was treated, is called upon to help seek public information. For over five months, some of Scotland's top detectives work diligently to track down the assailant, facing challenges due to a lack of forensic evidence and unreliable witnesses.
