Claire and Jamie seek the backing of Jamie’s grandfather, Lord Lovat, for the Jacobite movement. However, their efforts are complicated by the arrival of Colum MacKenzie, who has his own agenda. As tensions rise, Lord Lovat’s cunning schemes come to light, revealing that he intends to prioritize his personal ambitions above all else, regardless of the consequences for others involved.
