Ptol Slattery, the lively host from Winchester, is sure that his exquisite food and fine wine will guarantee him a win. However, his menu fails to impress his guests. Among those dining with him are Patrician Pearson, a waitress from Peru; the eccentric DJ Francis Leigh; Georgia Groves, a fun-loving care-home worker; and the fiercely competitive estate agent William Tilsley.
