A major scandal unfolds with the shocking discovery of Count Novicki's body. Maja seeks Tane’s assistance in her personal investigation. Plans to tear down Jatagan Mala and replace it with a new settlement are moving forward. Meanwhile, Miri? receives orders to collaborate with Godina, a double agent within the Ustasha, for the opium trade. Obrad Savkovi?, the head of "Novog doba," methodically pursues his agenda through manipulation and blackmail. Maja finds herself increasingly caught in a web of events she doesn't fully grasp. Tomasovi? approaches Miri? to discuss a potential partnership. Sonja, Tane's estranged wife, leaves him. Just as new alliances form, everything shifts in an instant, and the killer's rampage continues.
