Eight years earlier, a 12-year-old girl named Stacey is abruptly awakened by her parents in the dead of night. They hurriedly gather her and escape their home in a panic. Tragically, their car is forced off the road, resulting in the deaths of her parents and leaving Stacey in a coma.
